Our jasmine black tea is produced in the time-honoured tradition of layering whole leaf black tea with pure fragrant jasmine flowers to naturally infuse the leaves with the bright, strong aroma of jasmine that is distinctly representative of China itself. Only the highest quality jasmine petals are harvested during the daylight hours and then cool-stored overnight in order to allow their full bloom and fragrance to unfold. Unlike most jasmine teas which are scented green teas, this blend is made with black tea and has a creamy flavor. This high-grown black tea is naturally flavored on a bed of jasmine flowers for days to give the perfect taste and aroma. Pair it with your favorite spicy food. The tea base is a high quality Fujian black scented with the best Jasmine harvest which occurs in the Summer.

The texture is loosely-rolled black leaves with white jasmine buds, the flavour and scent of jasmine supremely reigns the cup of tea and alternates with the rich malty flavour of black tea, it has a very sweet flavoury aroma with notes of strong black tea, which gives out a light amber colour.

Fragrant jasmine meets spicy black tea in this intriguing combination of wild tea and natural flower blossoms. The subtle, almost gentle, floral aroma tempers the usual intensity of the black tea to produce a cup where background spice fights for attention with the fragrance of the jasmine. There is a slight bitterness to the tea which is more than compensated by a beautifully sweet aftertaste.

Measure 1 teaspoon of tea per person. For a stronger brew preference, add an additional teaspoon for the pot. Once the water reaches the appropriate temperature, it should be poured immediately over the tea leaves. Keep the teapot covered to retain heat. Time steeping carefully and infuse for 5-7 minutes. When the tea is done steeping, immediately remove the tea and lightly stir.
