Green tea dominates the global organic tea market and is expected to continue growing through 2031

According to a new report released by market research firm Allied Market Research, the global organic tea market is estimated at USD 905.4 million in 2021 and is expected to reach USD 2.4 billion by 2031, at a CAGR of 10.5% from 2022 to 2031 .

By type, the green tea segment accounted for more than two-fifths of the global organic tea market revenue by 2021 and is expected to dominate by 2031.

On a regional basis, the Asia Pacific region accounted for nearly three-fifths of the global organic tea market revenue in 2021 and is expected to maintain the largest share by 2031,

North America, on the other hand, will experience the fastest CAGR of 12.5%.

Through distribution channels, the convenience store segment accounted for nearly half of the global organic tea market share in 2021 and is expected to maintain its dominance during 2022-2031. However, the compound annual growth rate of supermarkets or large self-service shopping malls is the fastest, reaching 10.8%.

In terms of packaging, the market for plastic-packaged tea accounts for one-third of the global organic tea market in 2021 and is expected to dominate by 2031.
